I use this product instead of a rubber nasal aspirator (that they will give you in the hospital) to clean mucous out of the nose in a non-invasive way. I have also saved a babies life using inside the cheek area to draw mucuous out of the throat, which was restricting the air passage way in a baby ill with RSV. Please order an additional box of filters to keep on hand.
Babies that are formula fed tend to create more mucous and I use this product daily in the first month of life to keep newborns noses clear. Breast fed babies rarely need this unless they are sick with a runny or congested nose (which would require saline to soften nose particles).
